Introducing the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance and Dorothy Shain Cancer Awareness Bandana! A vibrant testament to resilience and healing. Designed in collaboration with Dorothy Shain, this bandana captures the essence of the Upstate's Cancer Survivors Park. Featuring colors symbolizing various forms of cancer and elements of natural healing found in the Park, each bandana serves as a visual reminder of the journey towards wellness. With every purchase, you're not only accessorizing with purpose but also supporting the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance mission.
Renowned local artist Dorothy Shain has partnered with the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance to create six unique Cancer Awareness Bandanas. Each bandana features specific colors that represent various types of cancer awareness, mirroring the diverse and colorful illumination of the Beacon of Hope Lights, which aims to shine a light on the journey of cancer survivors and those impacted by the disease. By intertwining these elements, the Cancer Survivors Park hopes to create a powerful visual narrative that celebrates survivorship, supports those currently battling cancer, and honors the memories of loved ones lost, reinforcing the park's mission to be a beacon of hope and healing for all who visit.
Available colors include lavender (all cancers); pink (breast cancer); teal (ovarian cancer); royal blue (colon cancer); grey (brain cancer); yellow (childhood and bladder cancers); black/white (melanoma, neuroendocrine and lung cancers). CSPA hopes to expand our bandana color offerings soon!
PICKING UP YOUR ORDER? CSPA staff has hybrid working options and is not always at the Cancer Survivors Park during working hours. Please contact Laura Coleman, lc@cancersurvivorspark.org, to coordinate a time to swing by the Park to pick up your bandana.
